Joanne McGowan loves clients. Of course, we all do, yet Joanne emerges from every client engagement and successfully executed performance change with many deep and lasting relationships. She wears our client’s best interests as well as she wears the cool business suits we can’t stop her from donning year in and year out. And Joanne loves data. Whether solving a revenue problem, translating customer needs to profits, or finding money trapped in the business in order to fund growth, Joanne’s keen insight and memory of meaningful data gives client leaders comfort that they are headed toward meaningful outcomes.
Joanne joined Aveus in 2003 and became co-owner and partner in 2009. She is the natural leader of our consulting practice, leading the Aveus teams to results-driven performance for our clients – executing our defined target customer experience.
Joanne brings years of knowledge applied for positive results in healthcare, insurance, and telecom to Aveus, having worked with clients such as Verisign, IBM, AT&T, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, the University of Michigan Health System, and Aflac.
In 1992 Joanne established her own management consulting practice, focusing on key strategy, marketing and channel issues for her clients. Prior to heading her own consulting practice, she was a principal for seven years with Frank Lynn & Associates, an international consulting firm that specializes in marketing and channel issues. Joanne has also served as vice president of marketing and sales for Viaticus, a financial services firm owned by CNA.
A graduate of University of Chicago, Joanne holds a Master of Business Administration degree, in addition to her Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University.
Joanne has been an avid reader since childhood. She finds complex needlepoint relaxing (seriously), enjoys traveling to beautiful cities and beaches (particularly Maui), and, most importantly, loves spending time with her family.
