Who we are
Our staff profile is, as one Aveus veteran coined, “accumulated wisdom” developed over years of executive, general management, and growth-oriented leadership experiences coupled with education and a results mindset. In other words, we’ve walked a mile in your shoes.
Our team is woven of perspectives from healthcare, financial services, consumer goods and telecom industries, and experience driving change in strategy, marketing, organization development, finance, operations and general management roles. How we work
For positive change to be sustainable, it must be led by those who will be responsible for leadership going forward. So in consulting engagements, adjunct leadership assignments and education labs, our approach is collaborative.
We draft models, test hypotheses, and vet ideas. We co-create solutions to decide what should be next or most important, working side by side with the people who must drive and sustain the change.
When you really boil it down, most consultants define success as more billable hours. The more consultants and hours they can pack into your project, the more successful they are. We don’t see the world this way - in fact it is something we fight against. We construct small, deeply experienced, nimble teams to work side by side with you and your teams to tackle big challenges. We do this on purpose. Our size and composition give us a host of advantages over mega firms that have to stuff projects with hours:
- Each client relationship is personally led by one of our partners; we guarantee our full strength and attention.
- All project and education teams are led by a partner or principal who knows what it’s like to lead a transformation and live with the decisions made.
- We are as selective about the work we take on as our clients are in choosing us. We will tell you if we see a good fit and chance for success together and why. Or why not. We always prefer to say ‘yes!’ But we have and we will say ‘no.’
What we believe
We believe that organizations which define a clear target customer experience then use it as an operating strategy to drive decisions across the organization will earn a rich financial performance reward.
And we believe that when leaders look holistically at the performance chain and make decisions about speed, predictability, flexibility and leverage that align with what customers value, they will earn a rich financial performance reward.
Whether looking from outside at customer needs-in, or inside the performance chain-out, we believe the best performance lies in the alignment of an organization’s customer experience and its performance chain.
We believe smart choices about customer needs to solve, smart choices about the things that must work together in and across an organization as demand is transformed in to cash, and the alignment of an organization’s customer experience and its performance chain can create change that pays.
